Long Holiday weekends can leave you feeling like a failure if you're not prepared. With parties and BBQ's in the plans, the are plenty of opportunities to eat junk food full of chemicals, sugar and unhealthy fat.
In this quick video, I'm giving you 3 simple steps on maintaining a healthy plan all weekend long.
Step #1 Take a walk in the morning. Forget about your regular workout routine or lack of. You may not have time and why stress. Start your day with a walk. It will set you up for a successful day and make you feel happier.
Step #2 Take a healthy meal along with Watermelon slices with you to your events. I like to take a huge salad and my own dressing, that way, if there isn't anything else healthy to eat, I'm covered. Watermelon is full of electrolytes. It will satisfy your sweet tooth, help to keep you hydrated and calm your "Inner Snacker."
Step #3 Keep a glass of water in your hand. The weather is warmer, and we often don't think about staying hydrated. This will help not only with hydration, but it will keep your hands out of the chip bowl. Try adding cucumber & mint or lemon & mint to your water for a special treat.
Remember, you don't want to wake up on Monday feeling bad physically and with the old tapes playing messages of failure in your head. We want to wake-up feeling great with the "You're awesome" message.
