Are You Walking With a Limp?

In Wellness Coaching, we look st several key areas in your life to see what is out of balance and then work together to bring balance and health into those areas. I will tell you that if one area is out of balance, you have at least one other that is out of whack. A healthy lifestyle, a balanced life, is all-encompassing. You can't be physically healthy if your hormones are off-balance. If your hormones are out of balance, it will affect your decision-making ability, which is outside of your physical body. It will affect your relationships due to moodiness or lack of sexual desire. It will have a negative effect on your sleep cycle which will in turn cause a lack of motivation, etc. Can you see how one out of several "things" can throw a wrench into many other areas?

Here, I've used hormone balance as an example. Trust me, it affects so many other areas in and outside of your body, mind and spirit. One of the most significant causes of weight gain is hormonal dysfunction.

All this to say that taking care of your body, mind and spirit is the most important thing you can do. If you have one symptom, there's something off-balance or some malfunction going on. If left unhealed, your body will compensate and more and more symptoms will appear causing more dysfunction in your inner and outer life.

Usually by the time people come to me for help, they're very sick. They don't know where else to go, nothing else has helped them, and they are ready to get well; or so they say. Then when we talk about what's involved in getting well, suddenly they have to wait for this to happen and that and it's one excuse after another. My first thought when this happens is, this person doesn't realize their worth.

People will do what they want to do and will find a way to do it. That is common knowledge among professionals and non-professionals.

So if people will find the money, time, etc to what they really want to do, then they must not want to get healthy or lose weight or whatever else the issue may be. A person who knows their worth and how precious life is will put their health and well-being at the top of their want to do list.

So what can you do if you want to make changes but find yourself not having the money, time, etc? This is one of the biggest, most foundational health tips, or healthy lifestyle tips I can give you. Change your mind! You have to believe that your life matters, that you matter enough to live healthy. You have to know your worth and love yourself enough to get well at all cost and not give up.

You're Worth It!

With love,

Heather Silva
