Do You Have What it Takes?

Do you have what it takes to live healthy and happy? I think so. Your body is designed to heal itself. All we need to make are a few adjustments in our lifestyle. Now for some that are already in a state of disease, a  little more work might be involved but we can make the best of what have right? Here is the recipe for success.

Diet- Simply put, avoid processed food and drink. Eat real food, preferably organic. Find out what your food sensitivities are so you can lose weight and feel great.

Rest- We need 7-8 hours of uninterrupted sleep every night. If you're having difficulty falling asleep and or staying asleep, your body is telling you that something's off-balance. Get to the root of it and get the rest you need. You might also need to take a few minutes each day and get lost in a good book or meditate on what's going great in your life.

Exercise- I bet you didn't know that not exercising is as dangerous as smoking. That's right. But the flip side is, too much exercise isn't healthy either. 10-30 minutes a day is good. Pilates or yoga a few times a week is great too. Find what works for you and do it.

Stress-Reduction- Eliminate the external stressors such as people who are toxic to you, energy drainers and drama. Take time to figure out what your external stressors are and get to work on reducing your stress. A major area of stress is what's going on inside of us. Food sensitivities are a big one and everybody has them. Hormone imbalance, adrenal fatigue, and gut issues are a few other areas of internal stress that cause us to be unhealthy and unhappy. Many of these are the reason you are over weight and can't lose it easily.

Supplementation- Unfortunately, even if we eat the perfect healthiest foods, we aren't getting all the nutrition we need. Our soil is depleted and our food quality is poor. Juicing vegetables helps, but it's still not enough. Picking up a bottle of vitamins at your local drugstore isn't the answer either. Again, this is as unique as you are. It's best to get with a pro to find out what your body needs to repair, replenish and restore.
