Re-Write Your Best Life

Change and transformation happens everyday. No longer do we live in a time of getting a job with a company and retiring many years later from that same company. Today, people change jobs on average, every 3 years. That's a far cry from the 40+ years our parents put in. We also live in an era where the divorce rate is 50% across the board. Many young people are choosing not to marry for that reason. Our food supply is contaminated with toxins and chemicals and food-like products are sold as food. We are no longer physically active, living life. We watch life on TV and the internet rather than creating a good life for ourselves. I could go on and on about the decline in society but I'm not. You get the picture. Change happens all the time. Major life transition happens at least twice for the average person. We haven't been taught how to handle these transitions well because our parents didn't really go through them, at least not the way we do. We live in a new world and that world is changing every day. Jobs are moving online and more and more companies are only hiring part-time employees.

A handful of years ago, I lost my business, my house and my savings. I was only a few years into being a divorcee at the time. I went through 2 major transitions in 5 years. Actually 3 if you include selling 1 business, relocating to be closer to family and opening another.

When my business closed, I thought I would easily find a job until I had my next plan in place. That didn't happen quite the way I thought. See, I had people telling me what that "job" should look like, what I needed or should do. They meant well but they were stuffing me in a box. I've never been one that fit well or blended in with the crowd. God made me different. I continued to struggle for a time until I had a change in perspective. Once I saw life with new eyes, change started to happen and things began to fall into place.

I encourage you today to step back and re-write your life. Transition can be an exciting time or a miserable one that leads to despair. It's your choice. Had I stayed in that box, I would probably be homeless or miserable and full of self-pity. Thank God, I listened to Him through my Life Purpose Coach. What are your dreams? What does your dream career look like? What do you want your life to look like? What about your health? You can't chase dreams if you're sick, fat, tired and stressed-out. Stop thinking about just getting by or that's what you'll get. Stop putting off losing weight, getting healthy, taking a chance on starting a home-based business or whatever it is you dream about. If I can do it, you can to. I believe in you!

You're Worth It!

With Love,

Heather Silva
